Crestline Credit Union was founded in 1987 by a group of 47 local residents and small business owners who believed their mountain community deserved better than the nearest bank branch two towns away.
Starting with a single room above a hardware store on Ridgeline Boulevard, the credit union grew steadily alongside the communities it serves. Today, Crestline CU operates four branches across the San Bernardino Mountains with over $340 million in assets and more than 28,000 members.
As a not-for-profit cooperative, we don't answer to stockholders. We answer to you. Every year, surplus earnings are returned to members through lower loan rates, higher savings yields, and reduced fees.
Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the following areas is eligible to join Crestline Credit Union:
Membership requires opening a Share Savings account with a minimum $5 deposit, which remains on deposit as long as you are a member.
Crestline CU is governed by a volunteer board elected by and from our membership.
Annual elections are held each spring. Members in good standing may run for open board seats.
Crestline CU awards four $1,500 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors from member households. Applications open each January.
Free workshops on budgeting, home-buying, and retirement planning are offered quarterly at each branch and online. Open to members and non-members alike.
Our small business lending team has helped finance over 200 local businesses since 2005, keeping capital circulating in the communities we serve.
